UPS(UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY)::

                                           The full form of ups is”uninterrupted power supply” .It is a device which in used when electricity have load shedding  and it gives a power to active the computer and work.Ups  gives a constance voltage.in a ups,a  bettery stay inbuild and the bettery have charged by the power supply and it gioves a few time power supply for the computer.Ups generally,  devided in to two parts like;

1.     OFF LINE UPS OR STANDBY UPS OR LINE INTERACTIVE UPS

2.     ON LINE UPS OR DOUBLE CONVERSION UPS

The character of standby ups::

       I.            Surge protection

     II.            Bettery back up

  III.            Power transfer switch

  IV.            Multitap veriable voltage auto transformer or  buck boost transformer

Off line ups give 450 to 500w voltage or 1 thousand va.to active the computer,its give ac voltage and the same time  the bettery have charged.in the ups, we used a ac to dc inverter.
