                           This virus infect boot sector of  floppy disk or hard disk.example of this virus are disk killer, poly boot.b, stone virus, Michel angelo, .devil, eck etc.

·      Polymorphic virus:

                          This virus infect the code of computer.example of this virus are evil, stimulate,scratch bug, proud,elkern etc.

·      Macro virus:

                          This virus infect the application or programme, example ofthis virus are relax, bablas,y2k, nuclious, melissawarm etc.

·      Fat virus:

                       This virus infect the file or folder allocation table.example of this virus are link virus.

·      Recident virus:

                      This virus infect the memory(RAM).example of this virus are cmj, randay, mrk lunay.

·      Network virus:

                    This virus infect the computer lan or internet and this virus effected the shared resources,shared drives or folder.example of this virus are nimda,sql slamer.

·      Overwrite virus:

                   This virus erase all data of computer. In this case, all file or folder may be deleted from the computer.example of this virus are trj.reboot,obay.
